Base Pay + Mileage Reimbursement + Commission Opportunities About Us We are a fast-growing specialty coffee company based in downtown Salinas, serving exceptional coffee through our cafés, wholesale partnerships, and growing online sales channels. As we expand throughout the Central Coast and Silicon Valley, we're looking for an energetic, self-motivated sales professional to help grow our wholesale coffee business and strengthen our brand presence. This position begins as part-time with a flexible schedule and offers a clear path to full-time employment for the right candidate. Position Overview The Wholesale Coffee Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new wholesale accounts, growing existing customer relationships, increasing online coffee sales, and helping build the systems necessary to support long-term company growth. This role involves frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, meeting with business owners and decision-makers, conducting product demonstrations, developing new accounts, and ensuring exceptional service for existing customers. You will play a key role in expanding our coffee brand across grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, hotels, corporate offices, healthcare facilities, schools, specialty retailers, and online markets. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development Prospect and secure new wholesale coffee accounts Develop relationships with grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, hotels, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and specialty retailers Conduct in-person sales presentations, coffee tastings, and product demonstrations Build and maintain long-term customer relationships Meet or exceed monthly sales goals Negotiate pricing and wholesale agreements Identify opportunities to increase account volume and product placement Territory & Account Management Travel regularly throughout the territory from Big Sur to Santa Clara Manage account visits and customer follow-ups Ensure exceptional customer service and account retention Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities for improvement Maintain organized records of account activity and sales performance Route Support & Merchandising Execute customer visits efficiently throughout assigned routes Deliver samples, promotional materials, and support products when necessary Merchandise products to maximize visibility and sales opportunities Ensure products are displayed properly at customer locations Assist customers with product education and training Online Sales & Brand Growth Help expand direct-to-consumer online coffee sales Support customer acquisition and retention initiatives Identify opportunities for subscription and recurring revenue growth Represent the company at community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities Serve as a brand ambassador throughout the region Shipping & Fulfillment Development Assist in creating and improving wholesale shipping procedures Help develop scalable fulfillment systems for online and wholesale orders Work with leadership to establish packaging, logistics, and delivery standards Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment processes Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate sales records and customer information Track pricing, inventory needs, and account performance Monitor market trends and competitor activity Submit reports on sales activity and growth opportunities QualificationsRequired Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Excellent organizational and time-management skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable traveling throughout assigned territory Ability to lift and carry coffee products, equipment, and promotional materials up to 50 pounds Basic math skills for pricing, order calculations, and inventory management Preferred Sales, customer service, or business development experience Experience selling coffee, food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods Wholesale account management experience Knowledge of merchandising and retail sales strategies Experience with CRM systems and account tracking Familiarity with e-commerce, fulfillment, or logistics operations Existing relationships within hospitality, retail, grocery, or food service industries Military experience demonstrating leadership, discipline, and reliability is valued Compensation & Growth Opportunity Competitive hourly compensation Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel Performance-based commission program Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity to transition into a full-time position Career growth within a rapidly expanding coffee company Potential future leadership opportunities within wholesale sales and business development What Success Looks LikeFirst 90 Days Learn our products, pricing, and company values Build a strong pipeline of prospective accounts Open new wholesale customers Develop productive sales routes throughout the territory First Year Consistently generate new wholesale revenue Expand brand presence from Big Sur to Santa Clara Establish strong relationships with key accounts Help grow online coffee sales Assist in building shipping and fulfillment systems that support long-term growth Become a key contributor to the company's expansion strategy Ideal Candidate You are driven, personable, and entrepreneurial.
