Job Description
Overview We are a well-established plumbing supply distributor seeking an experienced Plumbing Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our business — serving wholesale customers both in person at the counter and over the phone. You will draw on your deep knowledge of plumbing components to provide expert guidance, process orders efficiently, and build lasting customer relationships Duties Provide knowledgeable counter and phone sales support to wholesale plumbing customers Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate plumbing products and components Process orders accurately using Epicor Solar ERP software Maintain a thorough understanding of current inventory, pricing, and product lines Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts Assist customers with product specifications, substitutions, and technical questions Collaborate with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Handle customer inquiries, quotes, and follow-ups in a professional and timely manner Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing component or plumbing supply sales Extensive knowledge of plumbing parts, fixtures, and components Proven experience serving wholesale customers in a counter sales or inside sales environment Hands-on experience with ERP software; Epicor Solar experience required Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced counter sales environment Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus — not required Prior experience with wholesale plumbing distributors or supply houses Familiarity with local contractors, plumbers, and property management accounts in the San Diego region
