• Position Summary
• The Field Sales Representative owns and delivers sales for their overall territory by developing relationships with Store Managers and other retail personnel to achieve directed short and long-term performance objectives.

This is achieved with a focus on delivering the overall value of retail (VOR) to include sales, displays, new items and core distribution. Activities center on wall-to-wall sales coverage of Nestlé items, including systemic problem solving related to out of stocks, new item speed to shelf, share of shelf, price compliance, and promotion selling.

• This role covers a San Diego, CA territory. The candidate must live within 50 miles of San Diego, CA.

• Responsibilities:

• Sell incremental volume for display and obtain maximum support for promoted products.
• Sell promotional surveys for displays.
• Sell additional products based on opportunities observed.
• Collaborates with targeted store-level/district-level retail operations personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume.
• Leads expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Ensures compliance to pricing guidelines at retail level.
• Reports competitive price changes and promotional support and resolves competitive pricing issues.
• Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available.
• Merchandise products to obtain schematic compliance, pack out shelves, rotate products, handle unsellable product and resolve systemic problems related to out-of-stocks and voids.
• Develops and maintains proper relations with department/store level personnel within territory in order maximize sales results.
• Communicates market insights from the retail level to management.

• Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or retail management experience of CPG products preferred, not required.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
• Must possess strong communication (oral and written), selling and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and other POS systems.
• Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions and/or other data to utilize appropriate selling techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Travel Requirements:

may require frequent overnight travel up to 40% of the time as well as additional business travel to meet customer and operational needs. +

Driving:

Regular long-distance driving is expected to visit client sites, attend meetings, and support field activities. +

Location Requirement:

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the largest cluster of stores in the assigned territory to ensure consistency and execution readiness.

Pushing/Pulling/Bending:

May be required to set up displays or move carts during customer visits or events. +

Standing/Walking:

Extended periods of standing and walking are common during store visits, trade shows, and fieldwork. The approximate pay range for this position is $57K

• 66K base plus annual bonus.
