Santa Monica, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $21 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Customer service Basic math Driver's License Product demos Event setup Cash handling Full Job Description Wild Local Seafood now has a position opening for a part-time Farmers Market Sales Representative. We are looking for one hard working and professional individual with a positive personality who can shine selling our local, sustainable seafood. No prior experience or seafood knowledge necessary as training will be provided. This job is best suited for a people who enjoy working outdoors and in a face-to-face setting with customers who are passionate about our product and business! Our candidate must have consistent Saturday availability. Our truck will meet you at the farmers market around 7am in Santa Monica and then pick up after the shift around 130pm- Must be comfortable lifting at least 50 lbs and able to set up/ set down our farmer's market booths alone (includes coolers full of ice etc.). Most importantly, this candidate must be outgoing and motivated to excel in their role. Ties to the ocean, surfing, fishing, cooking, or even a general passion for sustainability are great baseline knowledge to build upon when interacting with our customers. This job is an especially good fit for people who care about the environment and the ocean. Many of our current and previous employees are Environmental Studies students/graduates, and the ability to educate the public about our business and product is highly valued. Discounted seafood and access to farmer's market produce serve as an added perk. Potential for Sales bonus for the right employee.
