Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven sales professional to join our ready-mix concrete company in California. The candidate would be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, generating sales, and promoting our ready-mix concrete products and services. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, knowledge of the construction industry, and a passion for delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities Sales and Business Development:
Actively seek out and develop new sales opportunities within the construction industry, including contractors, developers, and builders. Promote the company's ready-mix concrete products and services, tailoring solutions to meet customer needs. Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals by developing and executing a strategic sales plan.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Conduct regular site visits to assess customer needs, provide product recommendations, and address any concerns. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and follow-up on quotes.
Quoting and Negotiation:
Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for ready-mix concrete products based on customer specifications. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure contracts and maintain profitability. Monitor market conditions and competitor pricing to ensure a competitive advantage.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with dispatchers, plant managers, and other internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of products. Assist customers with scheduling orders, managing changes, and resolving any issues that arise during the project. Provide technical support to customers regarding product specifications, mix designs, and industry standards.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
Monitor industry trends, construction projects, and market demands to identify sales opportunities. Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activities. Contribute to the development of marketing materials and promotional activities.
Reporting and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account information in the CRM system. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management. Track and report customer feedback, complaints, and product performance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction or ready-mix concrete industry. Knowledge of ready-mix concrete products, mix designs, and construction processes is a plus. Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to travel frequently within the designated sales territory.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
