These individuals may or may not have currently consented to receive services and may or may not have a covered diagnosis. Duties Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, recovery programs, shelters, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders serving individuals affected by substance use disorders. Identify, establish, and strengthen partnerships that expand access to treatment, recovery support services, peer support, housing resources, employment services, and other community-based resources. Conduct community outreach activities to engage individuals experiencing substance use challenges and educate the public about available services and recovery resources. Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, coalition meetings, recovery-focused events, and stakeholder gatherings. Collaborate with treatment providers, hospitals, social service agencies, and community leaders to improve referral pathways and service coordination. Develop and deliver presentations, educational materials, and resource information related to substance use prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support services. Build and maintain a comprehensive directory of community resources and referral partners. Assist individuals in accessing treatment, recovery supports, healthcare services, transportation, housing, employment assistance, and other needed resources. Monitor community needs and identify service gaps affecting individuals with substance use disorders. Collect and track outreach activities, partnership development efforts, referrals, and community engagement outcomes. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support services for clients. Advocate for individuals in recovery by promoting person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches to care. Support community awareness initiatives aimed at reducing stigma associated with substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Collaborate with peer support specialists, case managers, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care and successful community integration. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare reports summarizing outreach efforts, partnership activities, community engagement metrics, and program outcomes. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and emerging resources related to substance use treatment, recovery support, and behavioral health services. Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals and community engagement efforts. Personal lived experience with successful recovery from substance use disorder. (Preferred) High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in counseling or related field is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals. Understanding of the principles of peer support and the recovery process. (Preferred) Empathy and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals in various stages of recovery. Knowledge of local resources and support services for individuals with substance use disorder. Willingness to adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
