system proficiency Closing sales Full Job Description Job Description - Residential HVAC Salesperson Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Residential HVAC Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with homeowners, assessing their heating, cooling, and air quality needs, and offering tailored solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to drive revenue growth by promoting HVAC equipment, maintenance agreements, and related services. Key Responsibilities Meet with residential customers to evaluate HVAC needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Generate leads through networking, referrals, marketing initiatives, and company-provided inquiries. Present proposals, estimates, and financing options clearly and professionally. Follow up with prospects to close sales and ensure a smooth transition to installation/service teams. Educate customers on product features, energy efficiency, warranties, and long-term benefits. Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and sales in CRM software. Collaborate with service and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings. Qualifications Proven experience in sales; HVAC, home services, or related industry preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to explain technical information in simple, customer-friendly terms. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet customer availability. Preferred Skills Knowledge of HVAC systems and home comfort products. Experience with residential financing programs. Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Follow-Up CRM, Salesforce, or similar). Background in customer service and relationship management.
