Denver, CO Reports to: Sales Manager Company Overview Colorado Barricade is a leading provider of traffic safety services and equipment for the road repair, construction and maintenance industry. Colorado Barricade's core services include traffic control planning and services, pavement marking, permanent sign installation, and related merchandise and equipment rental and sales. Customers include highway construction companies, Departments of Transportation, municipalities and utilities. Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for obtaining new customer accounts and increasing sales with existing accounts for a defined sales territory. The primary objective is to increase sales revenue for the Company by converting prospects to new customers and soliciting additional business from known and established customers. With a high level of direct customer contact the Outside Sales Representative is critical in helping Colorado Barricade provide superior customer service and be a key source of information on market conditions and customer relations. The Outside Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager and has a vital role in helping Colorado Barricade execute its business plan for increased revenues and profitability.
Sales territory:
Key Roles and Responsibilities Establish new rental/sales accounts through phone solicitations, personal visits to prospects/customers, sales promotions, and other means of generating increased revenues. Exhibit persistence with both prospects and customers to increase revenues and improve customer relations. Provide superior customer service for existing accounts and prospects including; needs assessment, catalog distribution, pricing, credit authorization assistance, expediting of orders when necessary, problem resolution, and prompt follow-up on customer questions or concerns. Maintain proper documentation of sales/calling efforts with both prospects and customers to allow for continuity and consistency in our efforts to solicit new business and improve customer relations. Coordinate efforts with management and various departments to solicit new business and resolve customer problems promptly. Educate both prospects and customers on the full line of products and services available from Colorado Barricade, including work zone product sales, custom sign sales, sign installation, temporary traffic control services, pavement marking, etc. Keep manager/supervisor informed of market conditions, competitive trends, and customer relations. Assist the collections department when necessary. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
