JobSummaryAsFood Service Outside Sales Representative, you area key member of our salesteam,you willbe responsible fordriving sales growth, profitability, and dealer development, while expanding our presence in key end-user markets.
Essential Duties/AccountabilitiesDuties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
Developing and executing a strategic business plan to achieve sales growth and profitability targetsManaging dealer relationships and moving them through the sales continuum (suspect, prospect, customer, advocate)Prospecting for and qualifying end-users, including chains, healthcare, education, and other industriesSetting dealer discounts to ensure profitability and sales growthDeliver factory programs to dealer bases,including,Food Equipment and Service programs, select programs, gift card programs, and Baker/IDC Programs.
Execute promotional initiations including special incentives, service schools, promotions, and obsolete elimination programs.
Conduct high-frequency sales calls with large Food Equipment DealersProvide product training to dealers and customersMake joint sales calls with dealer personnelIdentifycross-sales opportunities and leverage company experts toassist.
Develop andmaintainstrong relationships with Inside Sales Specialists and Store Managers, providing product training and support on wholesale philosophy, customer relations, and warranty execution.
Provide training and guidance on key sales concepts, including product knowledge, dealer training, discount structures, and qualifying dealers/end-users.
Foster effective communication and brand awareness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)required.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2-4 years of sales experience in the food service industry; experience withwholesale food service equipment supply/distributionis preferred.
Demonstrated experience in sales/marketing offood, refrigeration, and ice equipmentat a wholesale distribution level.2-4 years of experience building andmaintainingrelationships withresidential and commercial contractors.
Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership roles.
Must be able toperform the physical requirements of the role, including using/operating equipment/machinery as needed to complete job duties.
