Inside Counter Sales Representative Pay:

Monday•Friday | 7:00 AM•4:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Inside Counter Sales Representative to join a growing building materials team. This role works directly with contractors, builders, and customers to provide quotes, product recommendations, order support, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has experience in the building materials or construction industry, enjoys working with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication are key. Key Responsibilities Assist customers and contractors in person and over the phone with product selection, pricing, and order placement Generate quotes and provide accurate product information Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and follow-up Coordinate with purchasing, production, drafting, and outside sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction Process customer orders, invoices, sales tickets, and work orders accurately Support special orders, product sourcing, and delivery coordination Conduct material take-offs for residential and commercial projects Research pricing, product availability, and customer requests Maintain inventory awareness and stock levels within the sales area Support sales growth through proactive customer communication and product knowledge Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience in building materials, construction supply, or related industry preferred Knowledge of building products, construction applications, and materials preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working with contractors and customers in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of sales techniques and product recommendations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred Ability to perform business math and process orders accurately What We're Looking For Positive and professional attitude Strong relationship-building skills Self-motivated with a customer-first mindset Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Team-oriented and dependable Eagerness to learn products and industry knowledge Work Environment Combination of office, showroom, and outdoor yard environments Frequent walking throughout the facility and yard areas Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 80 lbs Give our office a call at 303-455-4414 to schedule an interview!
