Position Summary The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by engaging inbound leads, making outbound call campaigns, qualifying prospects, and closing residential and small business service orders for Core Fiber Partners. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences while efficiently guiding prospects through the sales process—from first contact to installation scheduling. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with Marketing, Customer Service, and Field Operations teams to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process and support revenue goals.
The role includes:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, web forms, and digital campaigns. Make outbound calls to warm leads, previous prospects, waitlist customers, and targeted lists. Qualify prospects by identifying needs, service eligibility, and product fit. Explain Core Fiber's internet solutions (fiber, wireless, VoIP) and recommend appropriate service tiers. Provide accurate pricing, promotions, contract terms, and installation timelines. Prepare and send quotes, service orders, and follow-up communications. Close sales and schedule installation/activation appointments. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay informed about new plans, network expansions, and referral programs. Update CRM records with call notes, contact history, pipeline status, and follow-up tasks. Meet or exceed monthly sales targets, conversion goals, and call performance metrics. Assist with lead nurturing workflows and re-engagement campaigns. Support Marketing by participating in outbound sales pushes, promo launches, and targeted campaigns. Coordinate with Field Operations to ensure accurate information is provided for installs and dispatch. Promote customer satisfaction by setting clear expectations and offering solutions that match the customer's needs. Provide basic guidance on account setup, service features, and next steps in the installation process. Participate in team meetings, sales training, and performance coaching sessions. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 1-3 years of inside sales, call center sales, or customer-facing sales experience (telecom or subscription-based services preferred). Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong communication, persuasive speaking, and active listening skills. Ability to articulate service features, technical concepts, and product benefits in simple terms. High comfort level working in a call-driven, metrics-based environment. Customer-centric mindset with strong relationship-building skills. Ability to handle objections, resolve concerns, and maintain professionalism. Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tools, and call handling software. Strong organizational and time management skills, including follow-up discipline. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls on a daily basis.
