Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agronomy Associate to join our agricultural team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse farming environments, supporting crop production, livestock and management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, with hands-on experience in farming operations. This position is vital for maintaining the health of crops and animals while ensuring efficient farm operations. Duties Scout crops and rangeland for weed, fungal and insect infestations Work under are head agronomy manager and salesman Communicate with the agronomy sales team to ensure clients are taken care of with any crop protection services that may need to take place. Communicate and visit with farmers Skills Supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings preferred Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, power tools, and irrigation systems Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment efficiently Familiarity with farming techniques across various sectors including agriculture Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or livestock management Strong understanding of farm safety protocols; ability to supervise staff effectively This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about agriculture to develop their skills further while contributing to sustainable farming practices. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and animal care.
