Job Description and Requirements:
The Sales Support Specialist provides expert guidance and product knowledge to customers within the Branch and over the phone. By working directly with customers to sell custom or stock products and create orders for pickup or delivery, the Customer Support Associate works toward exceeding company sales goals while building customer loyalty. The Customer Support Associate also provides administrative support to the Inside (ISR) and Outside Sales Representatives (OSR). Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time. This position reports to the VP of Sales, Building & Home. Responsibilities specific to theSales Support Specialist:
Welcome customers to the Branch and ask open-ended questions to determine the scope of their projects and the associated products and services needed. Offer customer loyalty programs and credit account applications to all new and lapsed customers. Provide expert guidance, product recommendations and answers to customer questions by continuously learning about the stock products offered at the Branch and all special-order products displayed in the showroom. Respond to phone inquiries with the same level of exceptional service and expert guidance provided to customers within the Branch. Effective communication including the use of common building material product names, jargon, and phrases, an understanding of the end use of stock building materials, and a working knowledge of the phases of construction. Respond to quote and order requests submitted via the Sales.Support@Northeastco.com email from the assigned OSR, ISR or for the assigned product line by the end of business day. Take the appropriate action to ensure quotes, orders and deliveries are completed within the committed timeframes. Record accurate product details, quantities, measurements and all associated components needed to generate a customer quote; submit to an estimator or vendors as needed, confirm itemized pricing and communicate finalized quotes to the customer. Create customer Orders and Special Orders ensuring all corresponding Purchase Orders have been entered and approved per company policy. Collect the deposits required per company policy and apply to the correct billing account/job prior to placing product orders with vendors. Follow-up with Vendors and ensure timely updates are provided to customers regarding ordered products. Maintain expected receipt dates and expected delivery dates in POS. Enter all deliveries into the Delivery Dispatch Management System (DDMS) from the correct location and in the customer requested Date/Time block to ensure all deliveries are On-Time and In-Full. Adjust customer orders as needed at the time of dispatch so that all invoices reflect the products and quantities being delivered on the date delivered. Collect payment and apply it to customer invoices using the correct account/job prior to delivery. Responsibilities of every

Enthusiasm to greet customers anywhere on the property. Maintain a positive, productive work environment through friendly, respectful relationships with customers & co-workers. Execution of daily operational duties including product organization, store cleanliness and inventory cycle counts. Keep all machinery, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order for safe usage. Report all issues regarding safety, waste, damage, equipment, accidents or customer concerns promptly to a member of Management. Inform Inventory Control Manager promptly of suspected inventory shortage.Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior experience selling or purchasing building materials in a related field, minimum of 5 years Building Industry experience including the end use of building materials and a working knowledge of the phases of construction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Arithmetic and Geometry using all units of measurement. Motivated, results driven, organized, detail oriented, approachable, and customer-centric Demonstrated ability to operate a cash register quickly and accurately including all POS and Delivery software applications.
