Forklift Sales Specialist Maybury Material Handling - 3.8 New Haven, CT Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Driver's License Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Maybury Material Handling is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Forklift Sales Specialist to increase our market share of Crown forklifts in New Haven county. Are you looking to kick-start your career in a fast-paced and dynamic industry? While prior sales experience is not required, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, has excellent communication skills, and has a strong desire to achieve sales targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate target customer lists and strategies to gain forklift market share. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers. Establish and maintain extensive knowledge of Crown's product line as well as knowledge of competitive equipment specifications, strengths and weaknesses. Survey regular and prospective customers' facilities and recommend proper equipment solutions. Generate and present quotes and perform sales presentations. Set-up, test and adjust equipment as needed before delivery and/or demonstrations. Perform effective demonstrations of products emphasizing industry standout features and benefits. Work with inside sales staff to log account activities, file customer credit inquiries and to keep customer database and product literature up to date. Attend trade shows and belong to trade organizations and local groups to promote the sales of forklifts.
Qualifications:
At least two years of successful sales experience or a Bachelor's degree and a strong desire to start a career in sales. Knowledge or experience with forklifts a plus. Must have a passion for sales, be self-motivated and driven towards success. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required as well as mechanical aptitude. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer required. Must have a valid driver's license, good driving history and be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
