Job Description

New Castle DE, United States NIR Sales Representative As a key member of the
BUCHI US/CAN
Team you have the primary responsibility of providing direct sales tasks, as well as efforts through distribution partners for all NIR products across the US and Canada for dedicated segments. You will liaise with corporate headquarters in the USA, provide technical sales solutions for all NIR products, as well as post-sales support to the installed customer base and other defined activities.

You actively generate new leads and opportunities to attain annual assigned sales targets of our benchtop, handheld, and online NIR devices You create and maintain good communication between current and prospective customers, field sales force, application specialists, marketing and service teams, and corporate headquarters personnel You develop and implement an account sales strategy designed to increase market penetration of the NIR products You observe developments in the marketplace (products, competition) and proactively inform colleagues and management You effectively utilize monthly sales reports to communicate territory status, forecasting, order status You maintain knowledge of applications and markets through participation in local user groups, subscription to trade journals, independent research, etc. You are available to travel approximately up to 60%, including occasional international travel What skills do you need to bring? BS/BA degree in Chemistry or related science 3+ years sales work experience (preferably scientific sales), ideally with analytical instrumentation Strong organizational, time management and effective interpersonal skills High functional level in MS-Office programs and previous experience with CRM software Experience with NIR and/or food analysis techniques is a plus What can we offer you?
