Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them with product selection, sales transactions, and inquiries. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will help create a welcoming environment, drive sales through upselling and product demos, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for all visitors. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs, demonstrating strong communication skills and positive phone etiquette. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales. Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and well-presented according to store standards. Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts to support effective merchandising. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Support team members with basic retail math tasks such as calculating totals, discounts, and change accurately during transactions. Qualifications Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential. Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build rapport with shoppers. Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
