Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to help grow our wholesale and retail battery business in the Greater Fort Lauderdale market. This role will place a strong emphasis on developing the marine segment, while also expanding business across other commercial and retail accounts. The ideal candidate has outside sales experience, understands the marine industry, and is comfortable prospecting, opening new accounts, managing customer relationships, and growing a territory through consistent field activity. Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, referrals, networking, and in-person visits.
  • Build and grow relationships with marinas, boatyards, boat dealers, marine service providers, yacht crews, and other marine-related businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to expand sales across additional commercial and retail channels beyond marine.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while actively pursuing new business.
  • Visit customer locations regularly to understand needs, present solutions, and strengthen relationships.
  • Promote and sell battery products for marine and other applicable commercial uses.
  • Prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, negotiate when needed, and close sales professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, customer interactions, and sales follow-up in CRM or related sales tools.
  • Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity in the local market.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and contribute to overall territory growth. Requirements
  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or account management.
  • Marine industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience using CRM systems and basic Microsoft Office tools preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Preferred Background
  • Experience selling batteries, marine products, electrical products, automotive products, industrial supplies, or related products.
  • Knowledge of the Fort Lauderdale marine market.
  • Existing relationships within the marine industry are a plus.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $88,500.00 per year
