In this role, you will be responsible for selling trailers and trailer parts, developing new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with dealerships, contractors, transportation companies, and other commercial customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills who thrives in a field-based environment. Key Responsibilities Sell trailers, trailer parts, and related products to new and existing customers. Conduct outside sales visits to dealerships, contractors, transportation companies, and other target accounts. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate trailer solutions, including equipment, utility, enclosed, and specialty trailers. Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities. Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and product demonstrations. Negotiate pricing and close sales to meet or exceed monthly sales goals. Collaborate with inventory, service, and financing teams to ensure smooth customer transactions. Maintain current knowledge of products, market trends, and competitor offerings. Accurately document customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities within the CRM system. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities. Qualifications Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory sales required. Experience in the trailer, equipment, automotive, construction, or transportation industry preferred. Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and closing skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Self-motivated with a goal-oriented and results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a field-based role. Comfortable with frequent local travel. Basic computer proficiency and experience using CRM systems. Ability to understand technical product specifications and clearly explain product features and benefits to customers.
