Job Description
Job Overview The Business Development Associate is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building, and maintaining successful relationships with sponsors and CROs while increasing our studies pipeline. All duties are carried out in accordance with the Company policies, SOPs, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as well as all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations. Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach efforts. Develop tailored proposals and presentations that align with client needs and company offerings. Support strategic planning initiatives by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client communications to inform decision-making. Establish, build, and maintain Sponsors, CROs, and broker companies'relationships through consistent and professional communications that result inthe generation of newly awarded studies. Explore various pharmaceutical organizations' pipelines to find out new andupcoming clinical study possibilities with a focus on obtaining new therapeuticareas, new contacts, new pharmaceutical/biotech organizations, and new CROsin the industry Routes CDAs and regulatory documents for signatures. Enter new study opportunities in the Trust system and update them as new information becomes available. Follow up with Brokers, Sponsors, and CROs regarding the status of new study opportunities presented to the Site. Completes Feasibility Questionnaires by describing the Site's capabilities and querying the Site's database to assess the number of potential participants forthe presented study. Anticipate any barriers and discuss with the Administration to mitigate potential challenges during the study. Seeks new study opportunities in clinicaltrials.gov and assists with multiple clinical trials at a time, through multiple phases. Keeps up to date with the latest trends and developments in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Communicate with internal team members to forecast timelines for Site activation and ensure all activation requirements have been met. Collects, reviews, and files essential Regulatory documents needed for Site activation. Responsible for collecting, completing, and submitting the Regulatory package. Completes the initial submission to Central IRBs. Requests translation documents from the IRB and submits advertisement material for Sponsor & IRB approvals, if the Sponsor is not providing advertising material. Ensures that all IRB, Sponsor, and Site approvals are available before Site initiation. Comply with all organization procedures, instructions, and directives for the achievement of organization objectives. Adjusts quickly to the changes of a dynamic Organization. Learns and utilizes various portals from sponsors and CROs. Ensures all Sponsor requirements are met for site activation. Desired qualifications A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within a professional environment. Strong understanding of business development strategies, including market research and competitive analysis. Works well in a team environment. General knowledge of clinical research preferred. Highly organized in an environment with shifting priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
