Job Description

Vacation & Travel Group is seeking a Sales Leader to own the field strategy and performance for our national event circuit. This isn't a "desk job"—it is a high-stakes leadership role for a veteran closer who knows how to build a culture of excellence on the road. You will oversee a team of elite reps at the nation's largest music festivals, professional sporting events (NASCAR, PGA, MLB), and lifestyle expos.
Your mission:
Turn high-traffic events into high-revenue engines.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive Revenue:
Take full P&L accountability for event sales performance, ensuring the team hits or exceeds package-sale targets.
Elite Coaching:
Recalibrate scripts, pitch styles, and closing techniques in real-time on the event floor. You aren't just managing; you're "leading from the front."
Strategic Deployment:
Oversee booth logistics and team positioning at premium locations to maximize prospect engagement.
Recruitment & Retention:
Identify, onboard, and retain "A-Player" talent who can handle the 1099 travel lifestyle.
Operational Excellence:
Interface with executive leadership to report on KPIs, lead quality, and event
ROI. COMPENSATION & PERKS
$120,000-$180,000+
OTE:
A competitive structure featuring a base salary/draw plus overrides on total team production.
Uncapped Growth:
Our event calendar is expanding; your income scales as the team grows.
Weekly Performance Bonuses:
Rewards based on team volume and package-to-tour conversion rates.
Autonomy:
We provide the "machine" (premium venues and logistics); you provide the "fuel" (talent and strategy).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Proven Leadership:
3-5+ years in a Sales Management or Assistant Manager role specifically within OPC, Timeshare, or Vacation Package sales. The "Closer"
DNA:
You must be able to step into any booth and demonstrate "how it's done" to a struggling rep.
Logistics Savvy:
Experience managing 1099 sales teams and the unique challenges of mobile/event-based operations.
Recruiting Prowess:
A "rolodex" of proven reps or a knack for spotting raw talent in a crowd.
Travel Readiness:
Ability to travel 75-90% of the time to lead teams on-site at major national activations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are a "People Architect." You understand that OPC sales is a grind, and you know how to keep a team's energy at a 10/10 from Friday morning to Sunday night. You hate "office politics" as much as we do—you'd rather be on the floor at a boat show or a music festival making money and breaking records.
HOW TO APPLY
Don't just send a resume. Send us a brief summary of: Your leadership history (How many reps have you managed simultaneously?). Your proudest "turnaround" story (How did you take a low-performing event/team and make it profitable?). Confirmation of your ability to travel and work a national event schedule.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Flexible schedule
Work Location:
On the road
