Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Design Consultant/Sales professional, where your creativity and sales expertise will transform customer visions into stunning, functional spaces. In this vibrant role, you will guide clients through the entire design and purchasing process, offering expert advice on layout, lighting, and renovation options while delivering exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm for high-end design and keen sales skills will drive revenue growth and foster lasting client relationships. Duties Engage with customers to understand their design needs, preferences, and budgets, providing personalized solutions that inspire confidence and excitement. Utilize tools like SketchUp, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and lighting design software to create compelling layouts and visual presentations that showcase product options effectively. Conduct product demonstrations, explain features, and highlight benefits to promote high-end sales of lighting, remodeling materials, and interior design products. Develop detailed layout designs for renovation projects, ensuring optimal space utilization while aligning with client expectations. Manage inside sales activities including POS transactions, cash handling, and retail math calculations to ensure smooth checkout experiences. Upsell complementary products such as lighting fixtures or accessories through persuasive communication and expert product knowledge. Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock levels, and marketing materials to enhance the shopping experience and maximize sales opportunities. Build strong account management relationships by following up on customer inquiries, providing ongoing support for remodeling or renovation projects. Collaborate with clients on renovation plans, construction timelines, and maintenance needs to ensure seamless project execution. Leverage multilingual skills when applicable to serve diverse customer bases effectively across different languages. Skills Proven experience in outside sales and inside sales within retail or specialized design environments. Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, lighting design tools, and layout planning applications. Strong negotiation skills to close high-end sales while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Knowledge of renovation, remodeling, construction processes, and interior design principles. Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing strategies and upselling opportunities. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele. Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, merchandising standards, and product demos. Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote new products or seasonal promotions effectively. $40,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
