Business Development Representative Confidential Port Saint Lucie, FL Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Professional networking Teamwork Business development within healthcare Care coordination Full Job Description Full job description The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in expanding access to care by building meaningful relationships throughout the behavioral health and addiction treatment community. This position serves as the bridge between detox services and continuing levels of care by developing referral partnerships, increasing awareness of the organization's services, and ensuring individuals and families are connected to appropriate, high-quality treatment. The Business Development Representative is responsible for creating and maintaining community partnerships that drive referrals and support continuity of care. This includes developing relationships with outpatient programs, PHPs, IOPs, therapists, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals within the addiction treatment field. This role requires a highly motivated professional with strong interpersonal, networking, and sales skills who can balance performance expectations with genuine compassion for the populations served. Success in this position comes from building trust with referral partners, understanding clinical needs, maintaining strong community relationships, and consistently aligning those needs with the organization's mission and treatment capabilities. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain referral relationships with outpatient programs, PHPs, IOPs, therapists, hospitals, physicians, case managers, community organizations, and other behavioral health providers. Facilitate continuity of care by coordinating referrals for clients transitioning from detox services to appropriate outpatient treatment programs. Cultivate reciprocal referral partnerships that generate admissions and strengthen community collaboration. Represent the organization at networking events, professional meetings, conferences, and community outreach activities. Educate referral sources and community partners about available treatment services, admission criteria, and clinical programs. Track, document, and report all outreach activities, referral sources, admissions, and business development efforts. Monitor referral trends and identify opportunities to expand market presence and community engagement. Collaborate with admissions, clinical, and leadership teams to ensure referral partners receive timely communication and exceptional service. Maintain a strong understanding of addiction treatment services, levels of care, and industry best practices. Qualifications Strong sales, relationship-building, and networking abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to develop trust and credibility within the behavioral health and addiction treatment community. Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health services, and levels of care preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track referrals, outreach efforts, and performance metrics. Professional, compassionate, and mission-driven approach to serving clients and community partners.
