Job Summary :
The Business Development Associate is responsible for driving new client acquisition for the company's multifamily property management portfolio. This role focuses exclusively on identifying, cultivating, and converting new management opportunities while collaborating closely with operations, marketing, and executive leadership. Incumbent is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Proactively source new third-party property management opportunities Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors, brokers, lenders, and industry partners Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial contact through contract execution Develop and present customized management proposals and presentations Maintain a structured sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on activity and performance Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate underwriting, pricing, and onboarding Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) : Ability to source new opportunities Ability to submit proposals and execute contracts to maintain a satisfactory sales cycle time Maintain successful conversion rates from lead to client Establish industry relationships within the multi-family or investment community Knowledge of operational issues related to all asset types and knowledge of progressive management practices Must be able to travel independently for the purpose of conducting property business. Must have a valid driver's license
Education and Experience :
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in multifamily property management, real estate, and related sales role Proven success in relationship-based sales or business development Strong understanding of multifamily operations, financial performance, and owner priorities Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally Third-party management sales or regional operations experience highly desired Familiarity with CRM platforms and proposal software a plus.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to work with a computer for a minimum of 7 hours daily either standing or sitting Must be able to read printed materials and computer screen with or without MS or other software accessibility functions Work requires high attention and mental demands including the ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity Must be able to effectively communicate by e-mail, by phone, or in person during the course of the workday
