Step into a vital role at our McFarland Service Center, where you'll help customers, contractors, and distributors find the right solutions for their building needs. Enjoy a supportive environment, daylight hours, and hands-on experience with both sales and customer service.
What You'll Do:
Assist retail customers and contractors with product selection and project planning Prepare detailed job cost estimates and material lists for building projects Enter and accurately process work orders in the computer system Handle customer inquiries, recommend suitable materials, and offer project expertise Receive and resolve customer complaints, answer questions, and provide outstanding support Process orders, handle payments, and prepare credit/debit memos Collaborate with the Service Center Manager and be a key team member day to day
Who We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required Basic construction knowledge and a knack for helping others Comfortable with computers (order entry, basic troubleshooting, email) One year of general office experience preferred Clear written and verbal communication skills Problem-solver who enjoys working with people and handling multiple tasks Positive attitude, reliability, and a desire to learn Why Join Us?
