Job Description

Sales Representative Privately owned and founded in the Midwest in 2011, Heritage Building Maintenance is based in central Iowa and serves commercial clients with the highest-quality cleaning and microbial protectant on the market today. Heritage goes the extra mile by using science to prove the efficacy of our system for use in office settings and medical and recreational facilities. In 2022, Heritage was acquired by Bee-Clean Building Maintenance , Canada's largest privately held janitorial company. While operations remained the same, this partnership opened the doors for continued growth and success in our industry. Today, Heritage continues to be committed to making a difference in the health and productivity of our community and those we serve. About the role Heritage Building Maintenance is seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to drive business growth and expand our client base. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and contributing directly to company revenue growth. Compensation Competitive base salary of $65,000-$75,000 plus a performance-driven commission structure (based on experience) Uncapped earning potential , rewarding high performance and sales success Significant income growth opportunity through new business development and expansion of existing accounts Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Growth Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial janitorial and facility service accounts Build and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline Develop strategic relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders Client Engagement Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and site visits Deliver tailored service proposals and negotiate contracts Ensure a positive, professional customer experience from lead to close Networking & Brand Representation Representing Heritage at industry events, trade associations, and community networking opportunities Participate in trade shows, client events, and marketing initiatives Maintain a strong professional presence both in-person and on social platforms Performance & Accountability Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets Track sales activity and pipeline progress consistently Collaborate with operations to ensure successful service execution and client satisfactio n Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of outside sales or business development experience Proven ability to develop and close profitable client relationships Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for client meetings Preferred Experience in facility services, janitorial, or B2B service sales Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Success Traits Highly motivated and goal-driven Strong networking and relationship-building ability Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional evenings for events Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset Working Environment and Physical Demands Frequent driving, walking, standing, and client site visits Regular use of phone, computer, and CRM systems Interaction with a diverse workforce and client base across multiple locations Additional Details & Benefits This job description is not an employment agreement or contract.
