Job Description

Business Development Advisor 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Waterloo, IA Home Instead 10,111 reviews Job Description You love being out in the community. You're a natural relationship builder who knows how to create meaningful partnerships and lasting connections. If that sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity. At Home Instead, our Business Development Advisor does more than generate referrals — they build the community relationships that change seniors' lives.
The Role:
You'll build our referral network across the region — working with hospitals, physician offices, senior communities, and healthcare professionals to create lasting partnerships that generate qualified client inquiries and new care starts.
What You'll Do:
Cultivate strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and community referral sources. Represent the organization through regular face-to-face meetings, presentations, and local networking events. Increase referral opportunities and convert leads into new client care starts. Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and performance metrics within Salesforce. Work closely with the care team to ensure a seamless transition from referral to client onboarding.
What We're Looking For:
At least one year of healthcare, home care, or senior services experience. Someone who naturally builds connections and excels in an independent, field-based role. Strong presentation and communication skills — effective one-on-one and in groups. Comfortable with quotas, accountability, and measuring your own performance. Valid driver's license; willing to spend 50-80% of time in the community.
What We Offer:
Competitive base hourly wage plus performance incentive. Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance. PTO
