Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive growth by connecting with customers in their communities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop new business, nurture existing client relationships, and promote our comprehensive range of products and services. Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients and customers to provide a high level of customer service. Call on prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship. Build relationships with key decision makers. Act as liaison and single point of contact with major residential and commercial customers. Represent self as a consultative partner by understanding a customer's business needs and providing solutions Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts. Engage in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and knowledge of the industry. Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the construction and building materials industry. Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner. Ensure shipments and deliveries are completed properly and resolve any customer issues timely. Developing long-term relationships with builders, contractors and customers is a key ingredient to the success of this position. Operates computers programmed with company software to record, store and analyze information. Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.
Qualifications:
At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred preferably in construction, building materials, or a related industry. Must have strong communication, technical, and relationship-building skills. Ability to maintain and grow customer base through prospecting, development, quoting, and follow-up. Able to learn quickly and work independently. Computer literate with Microsoft Office and email. Previous experience with building materials/construction practices preferred.
