Easy demo, easy close, customers stay for years. This is a hunter role. Most prospects are cold. You'll be knocking on doors at industrial parks, walking into job site trailers, talking to yard managers and plant managers face to face. If that energizes you, keep reading. If you're looking for a warm-lead inside-sales gig, this isn't it. We're adding one outside sales rep to own the Treasure Valley territory.
WHAT YOU CAN EARN
The base is modest on purpose — we want commission-hungry sellers, not salary collectors. Our top performers earn 3-4× their base in commission and residuals. Base salary:
$2,000-$3,500/month depending on experience and local connections New account commission: 40-60% of first month's contract value (no cap) Residual income: up to 6.5%/month on your entire active book — every month it stays active Performance multiplier: 1.15× at 150%+ of monthly goal Realistic year-one OTE at goal: $65,000-$80,000+ A motivated rep who hits the cold prospect list hard can clear six figures in year two Your ceiling is set by you, not us. THE MARKET
The Treasure Valley gives an outside sales rep one of the broadest prospect pipelines in the region. Our existing CRM has 450 accounts spanning construction and building materials (35%), retail and wholesale (14%), manufacturing and distribution (21%), transportation and trucking (4%), food and beverage (4%), and automotive (4%). Years of residential and commercial development plus the largest construction projects in Idaho history have created a dense, active pipeline of new sites. Any business operating a roll-off dumpster is a prospect — and most of them have never heard of us yet. THE ROLE
You own the Treasure Valley territory. You'll spend your days in the field: Cold-knocking at industrial parks (Garden City, Federal Way, Meridian / Nampa industrial corridors) Walking job site trailers and talking to GCs, site supers, and foremen Cold-calling distribution centers, manufacturers, building material suppliers, trucking yards Running on-site demonstrations with our compactor truck Closing service contracts and building a book of recurring accounts You bring in your own meetings. Our existing CRM gives you a head start, but the rep who wins this role is the one who'd cold-knock 20 doors a day even without a list. Office time is minimal. You report directly to the owner — no middle layer. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Top priority: candidates with established relationships at major Treasure Valley general contractors, or active access to large commercial / industrial sites — verifiable relationships unlock top-of-range base and accelerated commission tiers Comfortable cold door-knocking at industrial parks, job site trailers, and yards — this is hunter work, not order-taking More motivated by commission upside than base salary — your top-line income comes from your book, not your paycheck Background in construction supply, equipment rental, industrial supply, building materials, distribution services, or any recurring B2B service sold into commercial accounts Two or more years of outside B2B field sales — door-to-door, route-based, or industrial-corridor prospecting Experience selling recurring service contracts strongly preferred Self-directed — you manage your own pipeline, demos, and closes without anyone checking in on you Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required COMMISSION STRUCTURE
New account commissions tier at 40% (under $2K monthly closes), 50% ($2K-$6K), and 60% ($6K+) 1.15× multiplier triggered at 150% of monthly goal Residuals pay up to 6.5%/month on your entire active book — for as long as those accounts remain customers No commission cap Full comp plan provided in writing before you start HOW TO APPLY
