  • Job Summary:
  • The Inside Sales Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding our dry-type transformer portfolio.
This role involves creating accurate custom quotes, processing orders, coordinating shipping logistics, handling returns, and providing technical support to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in dry-type transformers and thrives in a fast-paced sales support environment within the electrical industry.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and deliver precise custom quotes for dry-type transformers based on customer specifications, including voltage, kVA ratings, enclosures, accessories, and special configurations.
  • Process customer orders from receipt through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, timely entry, and clear communication.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, warehouses, and carriers for shipping, tracking, and delivery scheduling.
  • Manage returns, warranty claims, and any post-sale issues, including RMA processing and resolution.
  • Provide technical product guidance and application support to distributors, contractors, engineers, and end-users.
  • Maintain detailed records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions in our CRM/ERP system.
  • Collaborate with outside sales reps and branch teams to support regional growth in transformer sales.
  • Stay current on product updates, industry standards (e.g., UL, IEEE, NEMA), and market trends related to dry-type transformers.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Must-have:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience working with dry-type transformers (quoting, specifying, selling, or supporting sales/applications).
  • Strong knowledge of dry-type transformer types, configurations, ratings, accessories, and applications in commercial, industrial, and utility settings.
  • Proven track record in inside sales, order processing, or customer service within the electrical distribution/manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical customers.
  • Proficiency with quoting tools, ERP/CRM systems (e.g., experience with similar platforms), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated team player with a customer-first mindset.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience representing or selling Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) or similar dry-type transformer lines.
  • Familiarity with electrical industry codes, standards, and competitive landscape.
  • Prior work in a manufacturer's representative or distributor environment.
