  • Full-time Sales & Events Consultant Sales & Events Consultant Brief Description The position of Sales & Events Consultant would be responsible to sell, coordinate, and service all weddings, caterings and special events to the client's specifications while adhering to all policies and procedures.
Act as first point of contact for brides and grooms and maintain relationship throughout the wedding planning process through event date. This position reports to the Sales Manager. Highly motivated, organized and great customer service are keys to the job. Responsibilities Prepare marketing material and possibly attend various wedding trade shows to promote weddings Establish relationships with potential clients and book events Prepare and execute contracts in an accurate and timely manner; Consult with Director before finalizing contract negotiations Conduct site tours with prospective clients Establish and maintain consistent communication with clients via email and telephone; Respond to all clients within 24 hours of contact Coordinate and finalize function space setup, décor, food and beverage menus Up sell food and beverage menus and additional functions to achieve budget Coordinate meetings and menu tastings with clients 4-6 months prior. Gather and share knowledge of current and cutting-edge wedding trends and recommend to clients Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors; Communicate effectively and efficiently with vendors via email and phone; Respond to all vendors and prospective vendors within 24 hours of contact Create Banquet Event Orders for all weddings, social and special events; Provide Banquet Event Orders to clients 2 weeks prior to event for client approval along with final payment; Distribute to manager and kitchen 1 week prior. Consistently communicate with the Banquet Coordinator, Banquet Staff and Chefs regarding event requirements, timing, special requests and changes. Attend weekly staff meetings to update department managers on all upcoming weddings and special events Troubleshoot event and operational obstacles and resolve in a timely, professional manner while ensuring client satisfaction Consistently work to exceed client's expectations by proactively anticipating their needs Inspect all function space prior to the start of the function to ensure that setup and décor is per the client's and Banquet Event Order's specifications Attend the pre-function line up with the Banquet Coordinator and Staff and review function requirements and time line Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Belvedere Events & Banquets location and menus along with a familiarity with other Suparossa Restaurant Group venues and restaurant locations Keep in good contact with concluded events to work towards future events and word of mouth If needed input and assist with catering orders that may come in via phone, email or fax. Schedules/ Vacation/ Personal Days A set schedule will be distributed upon hiring. All specials days required off must be approved by Sales Manager prior to changes. Sales Manager must be notified of any personal days or vacation time. Length of Service Paid Vacation Weeks Earned After 1 year, but less then 2 years 5 days More than two years, but less than four 8 days More than five years, but less than ten 10 days More than 10 years 15 days Paid Personal/Sick Day after 90 days:5 $250 Insurance credit each month after 90days
