Business Development Representative/ Sales Representative WT Group AEC Hoffman Estates, IL Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Vendor relationship building Full Job Description Position Summary The Business Development Representative will support the growth of WT Group AEC by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Management sectors. This role focuses on developing relationships and networking with prospect clients, contractors, developers, and national vendors, while partnering closely with Principals and Operations Leadership to drive project-based revenue and long-term partnerships. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within national accounts, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure markets Generate leads through networking, conferences, industry events, referrals, and targeted outreach and followthrough Build and maintain relationships with prospect clients, contractors, developers, national vendors, and key decisionmakers Support national account growth initiatives and strategic client expansion (e.g., multisite and national rollout programs) Partner with Principals in Charge and Operations teams to align business development efforts with project capacity and expertise Preparing proposals, qualifications packages, and RFP/RFQ responses Track and manage opportunities, pipeline, and client interactions through CRM systems (HubSpot) Conduct market research to identify trends, upcoming projects, and competitive positioning Collaborate with Marketing to enhance visibility, branding, and proposal content Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) 35+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations within the WT Group AEC industry Strong understanding of projectbased sales cycles and professional services environment Experience working with RFPs, RFQs, and proposal development Excellent communication, presentation, and relationshipbuilding skills Ability to work crossfunctionally with technical and operational teams Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite Core Competencies Relationship management and client engagement Strong organizational and followthrough skills Resultsdriven and proactive approach Strategic thinking and market awareness Collaboration with technical teams Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + performancebased bonus structure Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and company holidays Professional development and industry networking opportunities
