Yaskawa is currently seeking a hybrid Inside Sales Representative to provide support to our customer base. In this role, you will interface with customers via telephone and email, enter orders, provide pricing and delivery updates and work closely with the field sales team to ensure our customers receive exception support. The Inside Sales Representative will:
Manage customer orders and internal orders for Motion and Drives. Check setup, pricing, quantities, and specific details. Coordinate deliveries with warehouse; expedite if necessary. Follow up with customer for questions on discrepancies. Answering phones and e-mails from customers, internal departments or outside sales. Confirm information requested or forward questions that are more technical or for other departments. Coordinate new customer setup with outside sales rep or local distributor. Run backlog report to check current delivery status. Follow up on late P.O., delivery, credit holds, checking future dates, reallocating prioritizing delivery. Follow up with customers accordingly. Process customer returns. Process credits and debits. Coordinating with other departments to resolve questions and concerns. Leverage user manuals, selection guides, bills of material and other product literature to assist customer with product selection. Participate and become knowledgeable of Yaskawa products through Yaskawa product training. Proactively coordinate orders by working with Demand Planning, Supply Chain; partner with Engineering for alternate products when necessary. Back up customer interaction center as necessary The ideal candidate will have previous inside sales/customer service experience within manufacturing or distribution industries, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
The general position requirements are:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of Inside Sales experience and/or 1+ year of Customer Sales Support experience. Must have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail with above average organization and follow through skills. Technically proficient to substitute alternative solutions/products to help meet customers' technical and delivery requirements. Ability to handle issues diplomatically and resolve difficult situations in a professional manner. Previous SAP is highly preferred but not required.
