Sales Support Specialist

Inside Sales Representative 📍 Wheeling, IL Overview Join a globally connected organization known for delivering industry-leading power transmission solutions to customers around the world. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support a high-volume, fast-paced environment at our corporate headquarters in Wheeling, IL. In this role, you'll serve as a critical link between customers, operations, and the sales team—ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to service excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage customer accounts to drive high satisfaction, increased sales, and strong gross margins Handle day-to-day customer needs including: Quoting and pricing Order entry and tracking Delivery updates and follow-up Resolve customer issues by processing credits, debits, and returns (RMA) Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer requirements Monitor and maintain pricing and inventory agreements Provide ongoing support to the outside sales team Accurately document transactions and maintain records to ensure service continuity Review contracts and orders for completeness and accuracy prior to processing Manage complex shipping and routing requirements, including freight terms and carrier selection Participate in a weekly rotation :

Phone Support:

~45 inbound calls/day (~70% of shift when assigned)

Email Management:

200+ daily customer emails Create and process custom orders between customer interactions What You'll Work With ERP systems (QAD preferred) and internal tools for: Order entry Quoting and pricing Inventory tracking A fully paperless environment High-volume workload (50-75 multi-line orders daily) Qualifications Required 2+ years of experience in: Inside sales, sales support, or customer service in a manufacturing environment Strong product knowledge experience in a previous role Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Hands-on experience with order entry and quoting systems Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, accuracy in pricing/order calculations) Preferred Experience with QAD ERP system Familiarity with CRM tools and pricing systems Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Professional communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and documentation habits Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude Work Environment & Expectations Fast-paced, high-volume team handling both domestic and international clients Structured workflow with rotating responsibilities (phones vs. email) Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM High expectations for reliability, punctuality, and attendance Why This Role? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
