Essential Job Functions Interact with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner to generate brand awareness and increase sales. Prepare and demonstrate new and/or promoted products to store customers through sample arrangements and by demonstrating recipes using company products. Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products; use product slicer to fill orders and/or provide samples to customers; complete order process for purchases. Clean area and equipment as required by supermarket and local health code. Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed. Notify management in case of an extraordinary issue, including but not limited to, quality failures and overstock. Maintain excellent working relationship with supermarket personnel and management. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of retail or face-to-face sales experience. Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance. MVR which meets Bar-S driving standards with review by Bar-S Human Capital. License/Certifications Food handler's permit. Driver's License which meets company requirements. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Food product and/or consumer packaged goods sales experience. Route sales supervision experience in the food products industry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's) Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to communicate effectively in person. Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Fully fluent in Spanish. Proven ability to motivate self and others. Environmental/Working Conditions Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34˚ F for prolonged periods of time. Able to travel up to 90% of the time. Able to work weekends and evenings. Physical Requirements Able to stand for full shift of 6-8 hours with the exception of scheduled breaks. Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand truck. Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
