Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with commercial, industrial, institutional, and government customers. The successful candidate will promote and sell commercial doors, frames, hardware, electronic access control systems, automatic door operators, and all related security solutions. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
Duties:
Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions Promote and sell products or services effectively to meet sales targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to develop sales strategies and improve performance Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
Requirements:
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals. Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, facility managers, architects, property managers, schools, hospitals, and government agencies. Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate door, hardware, access control, and automatic operator solutions. Prepare proposals, quotations, and project estimates. Present products and solutions to customers and decision-makers. Coordinate with project managers, installation teams, and vendors to ensure successful project completion. Maintain a sales pipeline and achieve monthly and annual sales goals. Follow up on leads, bids, and customer inquiries in a timely manner. Stay current on industry trends, building codes, life safety requirements, and security technologies. Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings as required. Maintain accurate records.

Qualifications Required:
2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably but not mandatory in construction, security, building products, or related industries. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to read construction plans and specifications is preferred. Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Preferred:
Experience with commercial doors and hardware. Knowledge of access control systems and automatic door operators. Familiarity with Division 8 and Division 28 specifications. Understanding of ADA and life-safety code requirements. Experience working with the general public, contractors, architects, and facility managers.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary plus commission Performance bonuses Paid time off and holidays Ongoing product and technical training .
Base Pay:
$30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
