Position Overview The company is seeking a Business Development Associate who operates as a true hunter-someone who is motivated to generate new business, open doors, and build long-term client relationships within the commercial construction space. This role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience who is energized by sales, enjoys being in front of clients, and wants to control their own earning potential. Company Highlights High-growth environment with strong earning potential Entrepreneurial culture, ability to make a direct impact Strong support from leadership and operations teams Opportunity to build and own your book of business Exposure to top General Contractors, Developers, and Owners in the market Key Responsibilities Actively prospect and generate new business within the commercial construction market Build relationships with General Contractors, Developers, and Owners Identify and pursue new project opportunities from early stages through close Manage and grow a pipeline of active opportunities Conduct client meetings, site visits, and networking events Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution Track activity, pipeline, and revenue through CRM tools Consistently meet or exceed sales targets Requirements 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles Background in commercial construction is a strong plus (GC, subcontractor, or supplier) Furniture or interiors sales experience is also a strong fit Proven ability to prospect and generate new business Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset Ideal Candidate Profile True "hunter" mentality,driven to win new business Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships from scratch Entrepreneurial and motivated by commission/earning potential Strong presence with clients and ability to build trust quickly Wants to grow into a senior BD or leadership role over time Travel Expectations Local travel within the Kansas City metro Client meetings, job site visits, and networking events required Equal Opportunity Employer Tiello is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
