We are seeking a talented Business Development Project Coordinator to join our team at our corporate office in Overland Park, KS. This pivotal role will contribute to our growth by leading the creation of compelling, high-quality proposals that drive our success.
Summary of Position:
Responsible for assisting in the Company's short- and long-term goals of developing and capturing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Assisting Business Development managers and working within stringent timeframes to meet proposal deadlines, ensure final documents are complete as set forth in the RFP, and ensure the submission is well-organized and professionally presented. Work with the bid-writing team to coordinate, research, and assist in all facets of the proposal-creation process. Complete required proposal forms and documentation for proposal responses and Business Development needs. Coordinate scheduling of all Department meetings and meetings with Company leaders, subject matter experts, and third-party consultants, noting needed follow-up tasks and assignments. Liaison between Business Development team members and Company department leaders, agency representatives, and third-party consultants. Daily, monitor potential new business opportunities and provide analysis and summaries for review. Monitor for and circulate information and documents to the internal and external teams. Organize and keep up to date all Business Development files. In conjunction with the Business Development managers, provide ongoing progress updates on Department activities to senior management. Conduct research on proposal- and industry-related topics. Assist in creating Department presentations. Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Professional demeanor, able to communicate effectively with different personality types Able to work full-time in the Corporate Office as well as needed extra hours to meet proposal deadlines Adept with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Suite Adept at use of digital technology and internet applications Utilizing AI tools
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or other field of study requiring superior written and verbal communication skills Certification in project management is a plus, not required All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
