Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Freight Broker and become a vital connector in the supply chain network! In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in transportation management, logistics, and customer relationship management to facilitate seamless freight movement. Your proactive approach will help optimize transportation planning, negotiate contracts, and develop strong carrier and client partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment where your sales acumen and supply chain knowledge drive success. Whether managing B2B sales or coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), you'll be at the forefront of freight solutions that keep goods moving efficiently worldwide. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients to ensure reliable freight services Coordinate transportation management activities using systems like Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and CRM software to streamline operations Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers and clients to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs Manage inside sales efforts by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and closing freight deals through effective B2B sales strategies Oversee dispatching, freight scheduling, and transportation planning to ensure timely delivery of goods Monitor compliance with regulations such as FDA regulations for specific cargo types and ensure adherence to safety standards Track shipment data entry, pricing adjustments, and carrier sales performance using systems like AS400 or similar platforms Collaborate on logistics solutions involving freight forwarding, 3PL services, and NVOCC operations to optimize supply chain efficiency Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales roles Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a solid understanding of contracts and pricing strategies Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and dispatching tasks Familiarity with supply chain processes including transportation planning, carrier sales, freight forwarding, and logistics sales Knowledge of FDA regulations relevant to specific cargo types is a plus Exceptional communication skills for effective inside sales, lead generation, and customer relationship management A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise fuels global commerce!
