Job Description

Westaff is hiring a Sales Representative in Lafayette, La.
Pay:
$15
  • $18/
Hour DOE Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday 7am
  • 4pm
Qualifications:
  • 3 years minimum identifying and contacting customers (new and existing) on a business-to-business sales basis. Must have experience in cold calling, telemarketing and developing new markets with a focus on sales or a related field with a sales volume of $5 million or more.
  • Professional or College courses in sales, business management or related discipline preferred
Job Duties:
  • Perform sales duties related to the selling of building materials and services to customers with attention to ensuring that the products and materials provided meets customer requirements and are sold at prices that allow the Company to cover all expenses and realize a profit.
  • Must perform all duties in a productive and efficient manner while working primarily in person, over the telephone and on the internet.
  • Ensure that the purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and vendor & client support activities of the company operate safely, ethically, and in compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Participate, as required, in pre-bid/pre-contract discussions with the operations manager, developers, or other pertinent people, for the purpose of gathering pertinent information which may be required for estimating and preparing a bid proposal.
  • From technical drawings or customer interaction extract all the information required to effectively estimate the costs of material, labor, equipment, supplies and services to be supplied and its subcontractors while performing and delivering any contractual services agreed upon.
  • Apply/include price escalation management provisions to protect the project's profitability against price-cost erosion.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of competition also bidding on the jobs.
