Job Description

Job Summary This position is part of the Inside Sales job family, responsible for promoting and maintaining sales by originating and developing leads, performing sales (over the phone or email), and handling incoming inquiries. The role is key in selling both fabricated and non-fabricated steel to industrial establishments using product applications. The representative manages customer relationships, processes orders, provides delivery and product details, and supports the sales process, occasionally performing outbound follow-ups and coordinating with operations and the Test Reports Department. Compensation $48,000 - $54,000 Sales Incentive Program Eligible Inside Sales Representatives participate in a quarterly Sales Incentive Program designed to reward performance in alignment with company goals. Incentives are based on individual gross profit billed, as well as a pooled bonus distributed based on team performance and sales management-defined programs. Hiring Company Description Jorgensen Steel and Aluminum was founded in 1921 and quickly became a highly-regarded name in the U.S. metal-working industry. Jorgensen grew to stock one of the country's largest inventories of bar, sheet, plate and structural steel and aluminum. In 1990, Jorgensen merged with Kilsby-Roberts, the largest distributor of specialty bar and tubing in the country. On April 3, 2006, EMJ became a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. EMJ supplies more than 50,000 grades, shapes, and sizes of carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, alloy, and other materials that are used to manufacture millions of consumer, industrial, scientific, and technical products within MANY major industries around the globe.
