Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to support strategic growth within the Mission Critical and Data Center markets. This role is responsible for developing new client relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving service, maintenance, retrofit, and project sales across critical infrastructure environments including enterprise, hyperscale, edge, colocation, healthcare, and other uptime-sensitive facilities. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure systems, data center operations, and electrical power distribution environments. This individual should have experience working directly with end users and facility stakeholders and be capable of confidently positioning technical service solutions within complex, high-availability environments where reliability, resiliency, and uptime are essential. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with end users, facility teams, property managers, consulting engineers, contractors, and key decision-makers within the mission-critical and data center industries Identify and pursue new business opportunities for preventative maintenance, emergency service, retrofit projects, power system upgrades, commissioning support, and electrical infrastructure projects Promote solutions related to critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear, ATS systems, UPS systems, generators, power distribution, monitoring, and reliability-focused services Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, client engagement, and strategic account development Collaborate with operations, estimating, engineering, and technical service teams to develop accurate proposals, scopes of work, and customer solutions Conduct client meetings, site walks, technical discussions, and presentations to understand operational challenges, resiliency goals, and infrastructure needs Support estimating and proposal development efforts by reviewing specifications, coordinating pricing, assisting with scope development, and ensuring alignment with customer requirements Track opportunities, forecasts, customer activity, and account development efforts within CRM systems Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity related to mission-critical facilities, data center infrastructure, power systems reliability, and critical environment operations Support the company's strategic growth initiatives within enterprise, hyperscale, edge Qualifications 3+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the data center, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or mission-critical industry Experience working directly with end users in data center environments strongly preferred Knowledge of enterprise, edge, hyperscale, and colocation (colo) facilities preferred Estimating or proposal development experience is a plus Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed What We're Looking For Self-motivated hunter mentality with strong follow-through Technical curiosity and ability to understand complex infrastructure solutions Strong organizational and time-management skills Passion for building long-term client partnerships and driving growth
