Job Description

Ready to bring big construction projects to life, grow relationships, and help shape the skyline? Our client, a leader in the vertical transportation industry, is looking for a Construction Sales Representative to join their team in Washington, DC. In this role, you'll work directly with architects, general contractors, and building owners to win new elevator installation projects and ensure long-term success. You'll also serve as a trusted partner, helping clients navigate projects from early planning through completion. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in project-based or capital equipment sales. While elevator industry experience is preferred, professionals who have sold heavy construction equipment or have a strong track record working with general contractors will also be well-positioned for success.
What You'll Do:
Win and Develop New Business Be a
Trusted Partner :
Work closely with architects, general contractors, building managers, and owners to understand project needs and provide expert guidance throughout the pre-bid and bidding process.
Drive Growth:
Identify upcoming construction projects, maintain strong market awareness, and develop strategies to win competitive opportunities within your territory. Lead Projects from Start to Finish Own the
Sales Process :
From obtaining blueprints and preparing bid packages to presenting proposals and supporting contract execution, you'll manage opportunities from first contact through project handoff.

Coordinate submittal packages, manage requested change orders, and follow up regularly to ensure client satisfaction and project timelines stay on track. Support the
Team's Success Collaborate & Deliver :
Partner with operations teams to review specifications, confirm labor and material accuracy, and ensure quoted projects are complete, accurate, and profitable.
Stay Sharp:
Maintain deep knowledge of company products and industry trends by attending training sessions and keeping up with equipment updates and supplier offerings. What You Bring to the
Team:
3+ year of B2B sales experience Preferred experience in large-scale construction machinery or capital equipment sales Strong attention to detail and follow-up habits. Thrives in fast-paced environments, with comfort managing multiple priorities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Confidence presenting to clients and leading meetings.
Bonus:
Salesforce experience and the ability to read blueprints or architectural drawings.
Location:
Washington DC - Local travel required to client sites and projects.
Salary range:
$78,900-$114,400. The role offers a car allowance, fuel card, and monthly commission program.
