Job Description
Join Maine's most experienced and largest Harley-Davidson Dealer team! At L-A Harley-Davidson, motorcycle sales involves guiding customers through the entire buying journey, from initial greeting to final delivery, while meeting sales goals and promoting the Harley-Davidson lifestyle. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork across dealership departments.
Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement :
Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner, qualify their needs and wants, and build genuine relationships.Sales Process Management :
Guide customers through a structured sales process, including presenting motorcycle features and benefits, conducting test rides, and assisting customers with their buying decisions.Prospecting and Follow-up :
Enthusiastically follow up with all prospective and existing customers via phone, text, email, and social media, using a CRM system to track interactions and cultivate future sales.Cross-Selling :
Introduce customers to other departments (Parts & Accessories, Service, Financing, Insurance, etc.) to ensure a seamless experience and while promoting value- added options.Paperwork and Procedures :
Follow all procedures to complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including sales documentation, pre-delivery inspections, and vehicle deliveries.Dealership Environment :
Maintain the showroom and display of motorcycles in an appealing manner, remain alert and on the floor at all times, and handle customer inquiries according to dealership policy.Training and Development :
Attend all required training sessions to stay current with sales techniques, product knowledge, and dealership offerings. Other tasks and duties as assignedRequired Qualifications and Skills Sales Experience :
Proven sales experience is often helpful but not required.Communication Skills :
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential for engaging with a broad customer base.Motorcycle Endorsement :
A valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement is often required or strongly preferred, as the job involves conducting test rides and moving motorcycles.Attitude and Work Ethic :
A positive, self-motivated, results-driven, and approachable personality with a high energy level is necessary.Product Knowledge :
A genuine passion for motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle, with the ability to quickly learn and share knowledge about products, gear, and accessories.Technical Aptitude :
Must be computer literate and proficient with basic software like Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge and experience with CRM systems is a plus.Physical Demands :
The ability to balance and handle a touring motorcycle and stand for extended periods is occasionally required.Job Type:
