Primary responsibility includes recruiting students and developing employer partnerships for open enrollment and employer-driven customized contract training. Job Responsibilities In collaboration with the Dean, WCE-BIT Director, and Apprenticeship Navigator, create and maintain an annual marketing plan that includes a strategy to connect with prospective employer partners across business, information technology, and related industries and maintain current corporate relationships Develop and manage relationships with potential clients to assess educational needs and develop new training opportunities Identify and expand new opportunities within existing employer and industry partner relationships Recruit subject matter experts, instructional designers, and/or teaching staff to deliver training Write proposals for contract funded training and work with the department to prepare and execute scheduling, registration, teaching supplies, curriculum delivery, and invoicing for college services Recommend new training structures or delivery formats aligned with workforce trends in business and information technology Collaborate with the associate deans, directors, managers, coordinators, and faculty to meet client objectives Collaborate with other WCE business development staff Collaborate with the college recruitment office to offer business and IT career program information to prospective students by hosting and participating in workshops, job fairs and other outreach activities Manage all marketing materials for WCE-BIT workforce program promotion Maintain current program information on workforce boards and apply for or renew applications for program approval as needed Manage virtual and in-person information sessions Respond to the WCE-BIT department inquiry and/or waitlist mailbox Follow up with prospects which may include phone calls, mailings, emails, in-person visits, and social media Connect students with local workforce boards, employer-sponsored training opportunities, and other inside and outside agencies with current and potential tuition assistance programs Collaborate with the WCE customer relations software coordinator to track student and business conversion from interest to registration in courses. Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare various department, college and client reports as needed Serve as department liaison, coordinate and assist with internal and external activities and partnership development Serve on appropriate internal and external committees aligned to department objectives Attend meetings at client sites to promote technical training & services offered through WCE to increase departmental and college revenue In collaboration with the WCE director and the college's marketing department maintain department webpage content on Macomb.edu Perform related duties as assigned Education Bachelor's degree in related field required. Course work in management, marketing, sales or related fields is desirable. Qualifications Preferred work experience in business, information technology, or related organization. Strong understanding of workforce development. Strong experience with Salesforce CRM software. Proven track record in meeting recruitment or sales goals.
