We're the place neighbors come when they need help. A customer walks in with a leaking toilet, a broken lawn mower, a paint project, or a weekend DIY challenge. Our team helps them find the right solution and gives them the confidence to tackle it. We're looking for a Sales Team Leader who enjoys helping people, creating a great experience for customers and team members, and driving sales through service. This role is part teacher, part coach, part problem-solver, and part community builder. We believe selling is helping. Our customers don't come to us looking for a transaction—they come looking for advice, solutions, and confidence. The right candidate enjoys uncovering needs, recommending products, and helping customers tackle projects successfully. What You'll Do Help customers solve home, garden, and project challenges Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and sales Identify opportunities to recommend products and solutions that help customers complete projects successfully Create a department that is organized, stocked, and inviting Build relationships with customers and become a trusted resource in the community Support and encourage a culture of helpfulness, learning, and growth What Success Looks Like Customers leave feeling confident and cared for Team members enjoy coming to work and continue growing their skills The department looks great and runs smoothly Customers trust our recommendations and return for future projects Sales grow because customers value the service, expertise, and solutions our team provides You Might Be a Great Fit If You enjoy helping people You like learning how things work You naturally take initiative and lead others You enjoy solving problems You are energized by sales and helping customers complete projects You enjoy finding opportunities to recommend products that make a customer's project easier or more successful You want to work somewhere that feels personal rather than corporate Retail experience is helpful but not required. If you have experience in construction, maintenance, farming, landscaping, mechanics, home improvement, or simply love DIY projects, we'd love to hear from you. The strongest candidates for this role understand that great sales start with great service. They enjoy building relationships, asking questions, uncovering customer needs, and helping people find solutions that truly fit their project. When customers succeed, sales naturally follow.

Ace Hardware serves customers in areas such as paint, lawn & garden, grilling, outdoor power equipment, tools, home improvement, and seasonal products. Please describe any experience you have with these types of products — either through previous work experience, personal projects, hobbies, gardening, DIY/home improvement, or other hands-on experience.
