5/26/2026 About the Role This role is at the center of DisplayMax's growth engine - owning the independent and small-chain market from first contact to repeat customer. The Inside Sales Representative manages and grows small to mid-sized customer accounts (1-99 locations) within the fixture sales division, serving as the primary point of contact for inbound sales inquiries, website and configurator leads, and regional market opportunities. This position plays a critical role in developing the independent customer segment, driving revenue growth, and delivering a high-quality customer experience from initial contact through post-sale support. The Inside Sales Representative evaluates and escalates larger opportunities (100+ locations) to Business Development Representatives - allowing BDRs to focus on enterprise-scale opportunities - and transitions mature accounts to Account Managers when appropriate. We're looking for someone who is hungry to grow, humble enough to collaborate, and smart enough to read the room. The ideal candidate is responsive, relationship-driven, and highly organized, with the ability to manage a high volume of activity while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication. Key Responsibilities Inbound Sales & Lead Management Serve as the primary contact for new customer inquiries via phone, email, website, and configurator channels Respond to incoming sales leads in a timely, professional manner Qualify new opportunities and assess customer needs Escalate opportunities with 100+ locations to the Business Development Representative, allowing BDRs to focus on enterprise-scale pursuits Independent Market Development Grow the independent and small-chain customer segment (1 -99 locations) Develop local and regional market presence through outbound calls, email outreach, and proactive prospecting Participate in regional trade shows and networking opportunities Build pipeline through referrals, inbound activity, and proactive outreach Account Management Manage a portfolio of small to mid-sized accounts (typical lifecycle up to 2 years) Build relationships that drive repeat business Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Sales & Estimating Execution Prepare quotes and estimates for fixtures, layouts, and related components Assist customers with store layouts and product selection Utilize internal systems and tools to generate accurate proposals Ensure pricing aligns with company guidelines and margin expectations Inventory & Order Coordination Monitor inventory availability using internal systems Clearly communicate lead times and availability to customers Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment Post-Sale Support & Retention Conduct post-delivery follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction Manage and process RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) Resolve customer issues efficiently to maintain strong relationships Account Transition Identify growth-stage accounts ready for enterprise-level support and champion a seamless transition to Account Managers - ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience throughout Ensure accurate and complete handoff of account details and history Maintain smaller transactional accounts as needed Success Profile (What Good Looks Like) Responds quickly and effectively to inbound opportunities Builds strong relationships within the independent market Consistently converts leads into revenue and repeat customers Demonstrates sound judgment in escalating, retaining, or transitioning accounts Balances high-volume activity with a high-quality customer experience Acts as a key contributor to growth within the small-to-mid-sized segment Qualifications 2+ years of sales, customer service, or account management experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using CRM systems, ERP platforms, and quoting tools Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach Experience in fixtures, retail merchandising, display, or a related product category is a plus What You Can Expect From Us This is a newer position at DisplayMax, and we're looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity, not a drawback.
