Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development person to help grow our marketing agency through new client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and customer growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on networking, building trust with clients, identifying growth opportunities, and helping businesses understand the value of creative marketing solutions. The position will work closely with agency leadership, creative teams, and account managers to develop new business opportunities and support long-term agency growth. Key Responsibilities New Business Development Identify, prospect, and secure new clients across target industries Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, events, and digital platforms Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects Conduct discovery meetings to understand client goals, challenges, and budgets Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches Client Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients Develop and execute client retention programs Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle Collaborate with account and creative teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction Strategic Growth Research market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities Help develop agency growth strategies and partnership opportunities Attend industry events, networking functions, and community activities to promote the agency brand Contribute ideas for new service offerings and market positioning Sales & Reporting Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reports Track pipeline progress, proposal status, and revenue forecasts Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or agency account management preferred Experience in advertising, marketing, media, branding, or digital marketing preferred Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to build relationships and generate trust quickly Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred Skills Understanding of digital marketing, branding, social media, SEO, paid advertising, or creative services Existing local business network or industry connections Experience with proposal writing and sales presentations Ability to identify client pain points and recommend strategic solutions Compensation & Benefits Base salary plus commission/bonus opportunities Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Opportunity for career growth within a growing agency Ideal Candidate Traits Entrepreneurial mindset Results-oriented and highly motivated Strong networking ability Creative thinker with strategic insight Professional, confident, and personable
