None Business Development Specialist Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to assist Health Advantage Federal Credit Union in achieving its vision to be the financial institution of choice among all eligible members and to provide programs and services that enhance the lifelong well-being of members. Working as part of a team, the Business Development Specialist helps coordinate and implement strategies designed to increase membership and product usage. The role represents the credit union at community and member events, supports business development activities, builds and maintains strong relationships, and establishes new partnerships. Business Development Specialist Main Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing to develop strategies to increase membership and product usage. Identify new healthcare industry members by researching and creating business development opportunities that increase awareness of the credit union's products and services. Track business development efforts and present monthly reports to the Marketing Director (visits, calls, referrals, incentives, etc.). Maintain a list of healthcare businesses, contacts, and business development efforts. Maintain advertising placements at healthcare business locations. Analyze market trends and demographic data related to potential members, products, and services. Stay aware of marketplace and healthcare industry changes so the credit union can respond quickly. Represent the credit union at community events, external functions, promotions, branch openings, sponsorships, and other outreach activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with members and the community through networking and regular communication. Promote credit union benefits through onsite presentations, membership drives, webinars, and orientations for healthcare groups. Conduct financial education webinars, seminars, and presentations. Prepare materials including PowerPoint presentations, emails, and marketing mailings. Build and maintain strong client relationships and establish partnerships within the healthcare industry. Conduct outreach through on-site visits, phone calls, emails, and written communication. Provide marketing materials to increase credit union engagement. Maintain proficiency in software used for marketing production, research, and results tracking. Assist members and prospects with financial goals by identifying appropriate products, loans, and services. Distribute referrals internally and follow up on requests from healthcare industry groups. Assist other staff members as needed and maintain professional communication and follow-up. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of credit union products and services. Social Media Assist with creating written and live content that aligns with the credit union's brand and target audience. Monitor social media channels and respond to comments or inquiries when appropriate. Assist the marketing team with website updates and communication materials. Additional Responsibilities Maintain a clean and secure work area. Follow all credit union policies and regulatory requirements including BSA, CIP, and OFAC compliance. Maintain confidentiality of member account information. Provide high-quality service and meet service standard expectations. Regular attendance is required. Ability to work in a high-stress environment when necessary. Maintain strong interpersonal skills. Maintain a good driving record. Perform other duties as assigned. Business Development Specialist Competencies To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Strong multitasking ability with attention to detail Knowledge of credit union products and services and ability to cross-sell them Strong organization and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Professional and courteous communication with members, staff, and vendors Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Business Development Specialist Knowledge and Skills College degree in sales, marketing, or related field Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings Excellent verbal and written communication skills 1-3 years of marketing or public relations experience Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Social media experience (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) Project management experience Photography and video production experience preferred Understanding of marketing and sales principles Strong computer and software skills Ability to analyze business materials and interpret regulations Ability to apply financial concepts and perform basic calculations Strong problem-solving ability Flexible schedule when required for events or outreach Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Professional demeanor and accountability
Business Development Specialist Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
