Sales Associate (Powersports & Lawn Equipment) About Us Ball Equipment has been Eastern Michigan's leader in Powersports & Outdoor Power Equipment Sales & Service for over 80 years as A family owned Michigan business. We are proud to represent industry leading OEM brands such as Polaris, Honda, BRP, Cub Cadet, Gravely, CFMOTO, Arctic Cat & Many More!! We are in need of investing in sales staff as our business grows. Summary The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers with the selection and purchase of powersports vehicles, tractors, and lawn equipment. This role includes providing knowledgeable product guidance, maintaining the sales floor, managing inventory, and supporting overall store operations to deliver exceptional customer experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers and assess their needs and preferences. Provide detailed product information, demonstrations, and comparisons to guide purchasing decisions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of powersports vehicles and lawn equipment, including features, benefits, specifications, rebates, and financing options. Manage customer base through proactive follow-up with prospects, previous customers, and referrals using the CRM system. Close all active leads by the end of each day. Explain product warranty terms, extended service contracts, and maintenance plans. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required. Support marketing and promotional events as needed. Collaborate with the sales team and other departments while maintaining a professional and customer-first attitude. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly merchandised sales floor. Ensure accurate product pricing and signage. Follow up with customers after the sale to build long-term relationships. Work independently with minimal supervision. Adhere to company processes, policies, and procedures. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. What We Offer Compensation Annual Earning Potential $60,000-$90,000+ (competitive base pay plus commissions) 100% Employer Paid Medical Insurance, Dental, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance. 401(k) with 100% Employer match up to 3% employee contribution + 50% Employer match up to an additional 2% of employee contribution.

A supportive team environment where your expertise has immediate impact Qualifications and Competencies High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in the powersports or outdoor power equipment industry. Basic computer skills, including typing, data entry, and internet-based applications. Proficiency with CRM software preferred; CDK or Lightspeed experience a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills (in-person and phone). Flexibility with scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. Bending, kneeling, and reaching may be required when assisting with equipment or displays. Must be able to operate and demonstrate equipment safely. Work Environment Retail showroom environment open 6 days a week. May require extended hours during peak seasons. Occasional Sundays may be required for trade shows, events, or promotions. Moderate noise level with exposure to indoor/outdoor conditions when moving equipment.
