American Garage Door Supply manufactures and distributes specialty garage doors, parts, openers, and controls as well as other products. These products are often used in wet, corrosive, dirty or other types of special applications. Our products are distributed throughout the United States and Canada. Qualifications Sales Driven Professional Communication Excellent Presentation Skills Building Relationships Selling to Customer Needs Create Proposals & Quotes Understand & Apply Pricing Methods Negotiation Skills Analyzing Sales & Marketing Data Follow & Work Within Processes Read Construction Blueprints, Specifications & Item Lists Market/Product Knowledge Must be a Self-Starter, Dependable, Trustworthy, Responsible & Accountable. Education and/or Experience 3 - 5 years related experience in sales/marketing. Bachelors degree preferred, but not required Knowledge of products in the garage door business, building materials or construction design is preferred along with a strong mechanical/material aptitude. Introduction This Sales Representative role focuses on sales and support-related activities involving resellers and end users of our specialty garage door products. Summary The Sales Representative role sells and supports specific company products to businesses, individuals, institutions or government agencies. While supporting the business's policies, this position manages and communicates with potential and existing customers and handle the sales cycle from start to finish.Duties include:
following-up on leads, creating and preparing product solutions, estimating costs and pricing products, creating quotes and presenting product solutions to customers and completing the sale. Answer questions and provides customer service before, during and after the sale. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Identify and manage prospective customers and opportunities by using the internet, CRM software as well as other sources and attending occasional industry conferences. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders. Manage and follow-up on leads generated from websites, promotions and other sources. Recommend products or services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests. Provide customers with product samples and catalogs. Gather drawings, specifications or other technical information that meet specific customer needs. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Enter and process sales orders, returns and other transactional paperwork such as product submittals while following company policies. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings in order to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Assist and coordinate with other departments including: accounting purchasing and production. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient using email, word processing, spreadsheets, And databases on a personal computer or within a server network. Should have a working knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise and Online, Microsoft Office including; Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Some experience with CRM software and advanced Excel efficiencies is preferred. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee should have full use of eyes and ears and full power of speech. During the work week the employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, bend torso, bend arms, wrists and fingers. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Language Must be able to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing.Job Type:
